Introduction
We built this wall-mounted patio heater with one place in mind: the hot yoga studio. The whole idea was to give you heat that feels direct and clean. It warms bodies and surfaces with radiant heat, not moving air. That means you get steady comfort and a temperature that holds steady—exactly what hot yoga and deep relaxation need.
The Power Behind the Warmth
At the heart of this heater is a high-output infrared element, designed to pack a lot of radiant energy into a small space. It runs on standard mains voltage, so it fits cleanly into your studio’s electrical plan. We sized the wattage to deliver serious heat flux without needing a bulky unit. Strong warmth, without taking up a lot of room. Mounting it on the wall keeps it out of the way—no bulky base taking up floor space, no trip hazards. You can aim the radiant field right where you need it, so participants feel the warmth directly. And because it heats people and mats directly, you avoid that drafty feeling that comes with forced-air systems. That matters when your class is flowing and you want the temperature to stay consistent.
What’s Inside: Halogen, Quartz, and the Right Connections
Inside, you’ll find a halogen-filled quartz tube. It comes on instantly and holds steady. Quartz handles rapid heating and cooling far better than glass, and the halogen gas helps keep the filament temperature consistent—so the infrared output stays stable over time. We also chose a coating that manages glare, so you get the heat without harsh brightness. It’s warm on your skin, but easy on the eyes. For the connections, we spec’d parts that can handle high temperature and high current without loosening or breaking down. The right connectors mean fewer on-site failures, and a cleaner install—especially when you’re doing a retrofit. Fewer call-backs, less downtime. Just dependable performance.
Why This Works in a Hot Yoga Studio
In hot yoga, the heat needs to feel even and predictable—no cold spots, no drafts. This infrared heater gives you directional warmth that quickly warms mats and bodies, so the room comes up to temperature faster, and stays there. One thing to keep in mind: because the heat density is high, your ventilation and overall HVAC need to match the output. Plan your airflow and thermal management up front, and you’ll get a system that performs—class after class, session after session.
